Finn Jorgensen was born in Denmark in 1931, and received his M.S. degree in 1955 from the Technical University of Copenhagen. He was worked in the Magnetic Recording Industry for more than 40 years, including Datatape, Memorex and Applied Magnetics. He now serves as a lecturer and as a consultant to many equipment manufactures and to the US Navy. He has written several papers and the Complete Handbook of Magnetic Recording from McGraw-Hill (4th edition).
